Why I recommend it:

Tempest is book 3 in the Seattle Blades series and follows the story of Gavin and Odette. Theirs is a second chance romance 20 years in the making full of heartache, love and redemption. The relationship between Odette and Gavin’s grown daughter is so sweet and Gavin will stop at nothing to win back the one that got away. Odette has found herself in the same city as Gavin after moving due to health reasons. Not to give away any spoilers but I could relate to much of what she went through and the emotional turmoil it can cause. I loved how Gavin reacted and the lengths he went to for her and to support her. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters and want so much for them.

I was lucky enough to meet Alison Rhymes at Seattle Rain City 2024. She was so wonderful to talk with and I knew that after speaking with her and some of the things we talked about that her books would hit me in with all the feelings (and they do). It wasn't until later I realized I had already read book 1 in the Seattle Blades series (Rainfall) and loved it so I of course had to continue the series.
